Working principle of muffle furnace

The working principle of muffle furnace is based on the working principle and the law of conservation of energy, which transforms electric energy into heat energy, so as to achieve the heating of materials.


The working principle is based on the law of conservation of energy. That is, from electric energy to heat energy. When the electric furnace works normally, voltage and current are applied to the heating element (resistance). The heating element generates a large amount of heat in the working room and forms thermal convection and radiation. The insulation material in the working room absorbs and emits a small amount of heat and insulates most of the heat, so that the temperature in the working room gradually rises and reaches the preset temperature of the heating material.


When a certain temperature is reached, the temperature of the working room is induced by thermocouple and fed back to the temperature control instrument (PID control). The voltage and current are controlled to control the thermal power of the electric furnace to reach the preset temperature.


In order to obtain satisfactory temperature and accuracy, the advantages and disadvantages of the furnace are determined

(1) Quality and density of thermal insulation materials;

(2) Temperature range of heating element;

(3) The size of furnace;

(4) Control the quality of electrical appliances and control circuit mode.
