The difference between silicon carbide and ceramic fiber furnace

A lot of people choose high temperature furnace, experimental furnace of the material did not really understand, resulting in the purchase of muffle furnace, the use of the experimental furnace will have some negative impact and affect the accuracy of the experiment. Choosing a suitable furnace material is the place that must pay attention to when buying the experimental furnace, otherwise, no matter how much money you spend, you cannot achieve the experimental accuracy you want. However, the correct choice can bring you lower cost and better effect.


The experimental results of muff furnace and high temperature furnace customers are investigated, and several selection methods and experience of furnace are summarized. Details are as follows:


1. Experimental demand. Some experiments need to open the furnace door at 950℃, so that the muff furnace chamber can be opened at a high temperature and suddenly cooled, which has a great impact on the furnace. Of course, ceramic fibreboard furnace is selected without the need to hit the furnace door during the experiment, which has good thermal insulation effect and high stability.


2. Experimental accuracy: The ceramic fibreboard with high precision has better effect in the experiment, better insulation performance than silicon carbide, low experimental accuracy, and the choice of silicon carbide with low error range within 3 degrees is better, with low price and long life.


3. Price: Ceramic fiberboard has high price and good quality, while silicon carbide has low price and is relatively strong.


4. There is no gas generated in the experiment. For those producing gas, especially corrosive gas, silicon carbide has the best effect, and ceramic fiber board has a longer life than silicon carbide.


5. Surface temperature requirement: the surface temperature of muffle furnace with air cooling system in ceramic fibreboard furnace shall be below 40℃, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 55℃; Silicon carbide furnace with air cooling system muffle furnace surface temperature below 50 degrees, the highest temperature does not exceed 70 degrees, the surface temperature of the two specifications of the electric furnace surface temperature will not be hot, the temperature of the door handle is about 30 degrees, the surface temperature of the two types are the normal temperature in the laboratory, will not produce danger. There is no air cooling system in the old electric furnace, the surface temperature is higher, up to 150℃, some of the paint can burn off.
