The main reasons for hydraulic oil filtration are as follows:


No matter how carefully the equipment is installed and operated, hydraulic oil, mechanical oil and refrigeration oil will still be contaminated unless regular maintenance is carried out. Once the characteristic of hydraulic oil drops, it is inevitable that the following equipment failure will occur. The cost of equipment failure is much higher than that of proper maintenance of hydraulic oil, mechanical oil and refrigeration oil. The purpose of oil treatment is to eliminate moisture and other pollutants in the oil used or to be used in the equipment. Therefore, the maximum use of the equipment, to obtain the maximum efficiency of the equipment is an important advantage to save costs.


Common sense of hydraulic oil filtration:

Water and gas are in two forms in oil solution - dissolved water and gas (below saturation point) exist in most oil systems and equipment, while free water and gas (above saturation point) exist in many oils.


Water and gas in air settle in oil due to system leakage, loose sealing, long-term heat load of oil and open oil storage, resulting in water and gas in oil.


Due to the leakage of the system, the particle dust in the air, the system wear dust falling off, and the oil working under high temperature and water for a long time, it is inevitable that part of the oil will crack and deteriorate and precipitate colloidal substances.


Hazards of water, gas and impurities:

The oil is rapidly oxidized and metamorphosed to form acidic substances and corrode the metal contact surface;

The precipitation failure of additives in the oil leads to the decrease of lubricating film thickness and the aggravation of mechanical wear;

The lubrication, cooling and flow properties are reduced, and the fatigue of metal surface is accelerated;

The ice crystals formed at low temperature block the components and reduce the rigidity of the system;

The response of the system was slow and accompanied by irregular action, and the conduction performance decreased;

The oil temperature is too high to cool;

The oil pump and power equipment are damaged due to cavitation.
