Ion nitriding

Nitriding is a chemical heat treatment process by ion blasting nitrogen into the surface of steel workpieces. It is divided into different processes according to the treatment process temperature and the combination of infiltration elements (see other articles on this website for details). Here, only the medium temperature ion nitriding process is discussed, that is, the nitriding process with a temperature range of about 550-600° C. The ionic nitriding of most commonly used materials is in this temperature area. Our company has carried out ionic nitriding of a variety of materials in this area. The ionic nitriding test results of some materials will be introduced here one after another.


1, 42CrMo steel ion nitriding, the specific process, vacuum quenching + tempering, ion nitriding, surface hardness HV0.1>850, the thickness of the permeability layer according to different customer requirements are different.


2. 40CrNiMo steel ion nitriding, surface hardness hv0.1> 830.


3, 38CrMoAl steel ion nitriding, surface hardness HV0.1>900.


4, 45# steel ion nitriding, surface hardness HV0.1>520.
