How to use and maintain the new crucible correctly
The following problems should be paid attention to in the initial use of the new sintering crucible.
(1) Insist on washing furnace with industrial pure iron
It is very important to wash the furnace with industrial pure iron or low carbon steel (C mass fraction ≤ 0.15%). First of all, the washing charge has high melting point and low fluidity, which can reduce the penetration of molten steel into cracks and make cracks sintered. Secondly, high liquid steel temperature can expand the thickness of sintering layer, which is particularly important for low temperature sintering crucible. Finally, the potential defects of the new crucible will appear in the early stage of smelting. Once steel leakage occurs, it will be easy to handle because of the high melting point and poor fluidity of industrial pure iron.
(2) New crucible can not smelt steel with good fluidity
The first five furnaces of the new crucible should not be arranged for smelting high carbon, high manganese, high silicon and high alloy steel grades. Prevent steel leakage accident due to liquid steel penetration crack. In the early stage, low carbon chromium steel can be smelted.
(3) The charging of new crucible should ensure the smooth melting
The new crucible should pay more attention to the material and loading, so as to prevent "bridging" in the melting period. Careful operation is required to prevent large impact on the crucible wall. The charging amount reaches the maximum value and the smelting time is prolonged.
(4) Careful observation of new crucible in smelting process
In addition to the careful operation of the new crucible, it is also necessary to carefully observe the omen of steel leakage. Often observe whether the crucible wall is discolored, whether the power supply voltage fluctuates downward, and whether the current fluctuates upward. In case of any abnormality, the power shall be cut off immediately to avoid steel leakage. At the same time, it is also necessary to observe whether the insulation between turns of the inductor is good.
(5) Check the condition of new crucible after tapping
After tapping, it is necessary to check whether there are bright spots or cracks on the inner surface of the crucible, especially the annular transverse cracks. The longitudinal cracks usually have little harm. Clean and repair defects and slag line in time.
